Dr. Pascal Birman has 30 years of experience in the field of medical research and pharmaceutical development, particularly in endocrinology and metabolic diseases. After a career as a doctor at the AP-HP (Interne des Hôpitaux de Paris then Head of Clinic Assistant-1981-1990), he joined the Servier group as Head of International Projects, then took over the executive functions Director of Therapeutic Research in the United Kingdom then Clinical Operational Director for Europe and Asia. In 2004, Dr. Birman joined the pharmaceutical group Ipsen where he worked for 13 years in several key positions until becoming Vice President of Global Clinical Development Programs.

Currently Medical Director of Pherecydes Pharma, Dr. Birman was previously Deputy Medical Director of the biopharmaceutical company Genfit since 2018.
